It was nice to see a home ice victory last night! We've only had seven other home ice victories this season. I was starting to get int a bit of a rut, thinking that we were going to see another loss at home every time I go to Rexall.
We actually showed up and played sixty minutes last night! There are lots of things that happened to stop some pretty nasty streaks too... Khabibulin gets a much needed win. First one in 14 starts. The Power Play gets a goal, first one in 26 attempts (we're now 4-84 on the PP). Not to mention we didn't allow Dallas to sweep the series this year and we all know that the Oil deserved a better fate in at least two of the previous three games that these two teams played.
Hopefully this will boost some confidence and carry through to the Montreal game tomorrow night.
And hey you...yeah you, Habs fan, Put your Oiler Jersey on tomorrow night and leave that old moth bitten red & blue thing in the closet. You live here now, and you cheer for the Oilers 98% of the time anyway, let's not give the Habs any reason to get into this game tomorrow. we all know you have a bettr team right now, so show some love for the underdog!
