I LOVE THAT BOSTON WON, BUT I HATE HOW BAD VANCOUVER LOST

Boston Wins!!

I really happy that Boston beat the Canucks last night 4-0! Several records were set by both teams and Tim Thomas alike. Tim Thomas set a record for most stops by a Goalie in a play-offs, Boston set a record for being the first team to win three game sevens to win a Stanley cup in history, and Vancouver set a record for fewest goals scored in a cup final.

I am thinking there was a little Karma at play here with the Canucks. As I wrote in my last post, there have been some silliness coming out of Vancouver from finger biting, to Luongo’s comments about Tim Thomas, and reports that the Canucks were trying to profit from the broadcasting contracts for the Stanley Cup parade long before they won it. Not to mention Nathan Horton brining some Boston Garden Ice to pour (in water form) on the Roger centre’s ice surface.

Tim Thomas was the only choice for the Con-Smythe in the play-offs this year, however the way Brad Marchand played in this series was worthy, if there was a trophy for the Cup series and not the whole play-offs.

Vancouver Loses!!

Not only did the Vancouver Canucks melt down on the ice last night, but the City melted down too after the game. On the ice we saw no effort from the Sedin’s (which I think is more a statement of how Boston played) to Luongo blowing that goal he could’ve fell forward on, to stop the momentum of the puck, to the frustrating cheap elbow to Chara’s head from a blind side hit.

But none of the above can compare to the idiocy that happened after the game. If you haven’t heard, the fans went nuts and rioted until well into the night. I knew this would happen no matter what the outcome of the game. I wrote in my last piece that Vancouver would prove that their fans suck when the city inevitably burns win or lose.

I have heard all the rhetoric about how “it’s not the fans, it’s the idiots.” Or “it’s professional anachists inciting violence.” Well I saw a lot Canuck jerseys burning, looting and assaulting people and cops alike. I knew it would happen, I know Canuck fans suck, but I was not pleased to see how far they would take it. In Edmonton there was some trouble during our cup run, but nothing in comparison to what we saw in Vancity last night.

Anyways…BRING ON THE FIRST OVER-ALL PICK ON THE 24TH

MY STANLEY CUP FINAL

UPDATE.....

GO BOSTON!

Go Hawks!!!

Tonight is my most anticipated game of the year for a non-Oiler related game. The Vancouver Canucks vs. The Chicago Blackhawks in game 7 of round 1 of the play-offs.

I pray that the Hawks pull this one out tonight. I don't car that Vancouver is a Canadian team, I just can't stand the thought of them winning this series. Mainly because Canucks fans are the cockiest bunch of S.O.B's that ever lived, even though they have never won anything in their 40 year history. They seem to think that the cup this year was somehow their birth right due to the MSM pundits picking them to come out of the west.

Granted, the Canucks have a good team, there's no denying that. But, when I see the Bieksa incident with Strallman where Bieksa tuned Strallman after the Hawks enforcer was thrown out of a game for talking with Torres, this is typical for Canucks players. In the last few years, players like Burrows, Mitchell, and Kessler were cheap dirty players that wouldn't stand and answer for the crap they would dish out. There was an article written in Chicago that sums it up for this series anyways.

And then there's the ego of Luongo! He was quoted on tv the other day as saying that he and Cory Schneider were the best Goalie duo in the game today. Well I say...how'd you sleep lat night Roberto? Are you a little concerned that you might not have the stuff to get it done tonight? Yeah you won a gold medal for Canada, but you were the reliever not the starter.

Some people have said that if the Canucks lose tonight, they will become the new San Jose sharks, referring the Sharks propensity to choke in the play-offs. Dustin Nielson this morning on the Team1260 put it best when he said that they alreadyy were the "new Sharks" as the Sharks at least have gone through a few rounds in the last few years. the Canucks have had a pretty bad record the last two years, and has no given up a 3-0 lead in the series to allow a game 7. When the Canucks lose tonight...they will be the biggest choke artists I have ever seen.

GO HAWKS GO!!!!
