HEMSKY RETURNS AND LINES GEL

Montreal Game Last Night...

So Hemsky makes a triumphant return to the line-up last night, he gets a goal and two assists!

A greasy one for sure, Paajarvi got a point in this game as well. An assist on this goal.

Hemsky was on a line with Sam Gagner and those two guys looked great together. Gagner got a short handed goal to tie the game on a two-on-one rush with Hemmer.

A beautiful shot by Gagner top corner on the short side! Gagner and Hemsky also assisted on the first Oiler goal by Kurtis Foster.

There were other bright spots last night...Taylor Hall looked a lot more comfortable in this game than he has previously. So much so that he was finishing checks. He hit Brian Gionta last night. If he can start to use his frame in this way more consistently, he will be hard to contain.

Penner's line was also good. Obviously the breakaway winner in O.T. was awesome, but he was hitting guys too. He threw 3 hits last night. He needs to play like this all the time. I'm not sure what motivates Penner to play this way, but it seems to be that he will only do it sometimes.

Dubnyk played well again and stopped 36 shots. I'm surprised to hear that Khabibulin will play tonight against the Leafs. I'm guessing there are two reasons for this, 1) back to back duty & 2) Khabby is the number one guy and need to play after a long time off due to injury.

Game Tonight...

Hopefully we see Big Mack in the line-up tonight. So Colton Orr might think twice about taking liberties with our skilled players. Hopefully Khabibulin will play well. In my opinion Dubnyk has played better thus far. If we lose with Khabby in net tonight...my guess is wee see Dubnyk in net here on Saturday.

GO Oilers GO!
