The Oilers played a great game last night with the top line of Penner-Hall-Hemsky combined for 9 pts on the night. Hemsky looked the like the all-star he is!
If we can find a way to consistently compete at the level we did against the Sharks...the sky is the limit for this team. Obviously we are missing a few key elements, a defense would be nice, but...the whole team played well and needs to keep that up.
Omark...
If you haven't noticed here at realoilfan before, I'm a bit of an Omark fan. Aind if you watched last nights game closely, you'l know why. This kid's vision is un-paralelled on this team. Yeah, I know, Eberle has vision out the wazoo, but Omark made a drop pass last night that setup Steve MacIntyre for a one-time scoring opportunity. MacIntyre! Big Mac made the best of it too by wiring a shot on Nittymaki that
was on target.
His ability to pass through traffic on the power play cross ice in front of the crease is something we haven't seen done well in this town in a long time!! And Omark is always looking for these types of high skill plays.
If this kid doesn't get to play more in lieu of Jaques or Fraser (I get Fraser's a centre) or Brule or (insert player here) then I personally feel we are not doing justice to this re-build.
