FROM THE ROAD...(AGAIN)

So I am on the road for work again tonight. I'm listening to Jack Michaels on-line as the Weyburn Sask, Ramada doesn't have digital cable or satellite TV so I cannot get SNET-OIL. Which I have to say...really SUCKS! Not only did I give up my seats tonight, but I can't even watch the game on the tube. I'm Totally bummed.

I will say this though....I have not listened to Jack Michaels call a full game yet this year. I have heard snippets of his work thus far, but not a full game. He's awesome! I am very impressed with his knowledge, excitement level, and enthusiasm to call the game! I can definitely see why the Oilers chose Jack from the plethora of applicants for the job. No one could truly replace Rod "The God" Phillips, but Jack certainly does a great job.

THOUGHTS ON THE GAME

As I listen to this game there's 4:15 to go in the second period and the Wild are winning 3-1. Kyle Brodziak (former Oiler) has scored two goals in the first 6 mins of the game. Latendresse has scored the other Minny goal. Ales Hemsky has the lone goal for the Mighty Oil on the power play. See Hemmer Goal Here

From what I can gather reading twitter, listening to CHED and watching the Game Center on-line tracker...we have been better on the face off tonight. And we have had 7 power plays so far with only one goal to show for it. We have only taken 2 penalties thus far. But the Wild have scored on one of those opportunities. The penalty kill needs to be better if we get into more penalty trouble in the 3rd.

According to Dan Tencer who is live tweeting from the game, Dan Says... "Taylor Hall is all world tonight, FYI." GODDAMN I WISH I COULD WATCH THIS F@#$ING GAME! I have no idea what Dan means by this. Listening is just not the same as watching. GRRRRR.....

UPDATE....
What do we have to do? We out-shoot, won more face-offs, and had 3 times as many power plays than the Wild and we still lose?? I guess that just goes to show you, that sometimes you need a little help from the hockey gods to get the win. Can't wait for San Jose on Saturday.

GO Oilers GO!
