Due to the Olympics last year, there was no All Star game. I for one did not miss it. The All Star game does not interest me in the slightest.
If there was a reason to play the game other than a corporate media frenzy, then you might get me to watch. like say the players on the winning team don't have to make their escrow contributions for the next season, or the wining conference gets home ice advantage in the Stanley Cup Final. At least then the players would try.
Although it is cool that Taylor Hall will be there, as it's been widely reported that he's pretty excited to be there.
I prefer to watch the skills competition than the game itself. At least the skills comp has some fun and entertainment value. When you see goofy shit like Ovechkin in a straw hat and shades take his shot in the shoot-out competition...etc.
Break Time...
as I have been travelling a lot for work lately and there is no hockey for the Oilers until next week...I am going to take a little break and get some sleep....zzzz
